These pictures were taken Wednesday, July 22. Most of the day was spent setting things up for the convention. We had about 24 airplanes early in the morning and 60 something that afternoon. The early bird arrival was Don Smith, 84 years old, in his Tiger.
Thursday, July 23Lots of folks took the Yellowstone Tour and had a good time. Others wandered around the airport looking at airplanes. The airplane count reached 124 today. A lot of people really spruced up their airplanes for the convention. The welcome reception was held in the evening and lots of lies were told and liquids consumed. Tomorrow the convention gets started.

By the way here is a pix of Jons plane on July 12 at noon. (Late news: Jon's Tiger won the "Best in show" award at the convention)

Cody was a beehive of activity today. What with Cockpit Cool, aircraft rigging, preflight contest, broken towbar contest, swapshop, and a great lunch at the hotel. I think so far we have about 260 adults registered and at least 130 airplanes. Andre Everhart from Belgium made the front page of the Cody News. There was a nice picture of Jack Bloods TR-2 in the paper and also a nice interview with Roscoe. They referred to the fly-in as a "Vintage aircraft flyin"J
